Quite Olympic Times in the Jura!

Have I already told you, how olympic this region is? Really amazing.

No doubt that they're all really sporty here. I could have seen it directly from work, because the famous „Transjurassienne“ just passed in front of my „wooden working-office“. This is a cross-country race (classic and freestyle) over different distances. The longest, which took place on Sunday was over 75km and I knew quite a few of the gys who competed. Wow I'm so impressed by all of them, especially all who actually really finished these km's.

And while the whole world was watching the Olympic Games on their television at home, I had the chance to see it on a huge screen in the town hall of Bois d'Amont? Why? Because Bois d'Amont had send 3 athletes to Vancouver. Two for Nordic Combined and one for Cross Country. And one even brought a Golden Medal back here in the peaceful valley.

Although winter should still stay, we have really bad conditions at least for skiing. Much to warm and too much rain. I still hope that snow and cold will come back again.

As for my own situation it is less glory and shining. I need to find as fast as possible ( until the 15^th of march) a new living place. Appartements here are expensive, especially if you want them with furnitures, which would be good. Then I still need to find work for when the season is over. And My dear Bruno (for all who don't know, it is the name of my car) is soooo ill and needs a doctor, who will cost me a fortune too. But I'm quite well besides and haven't lost my optimism although I'm really glad about every help!

For all who are interested in my “Love-Live” Haha just can tell you French guys are making me crazy. One more then others!

Olympische Zeiten im Jura!!

Hab ich euch schon erzählt, wie Olypmpisch diese Region ist? Echt beeindruckend.

Es besteht kein Zweifel, dass sie alle sehr sportlich hier sind. Das konnte ich von meinem Freiluft-Holzbüro” aus betrachten, denn der berühmte “Transjurassienne” verlief genau vor meiner Arbeitsstelle. Das ist ein Langlaufwettbewerb (klassisch und freestyle) über verschieden lange Distanzen. Die längste immerhin 76 km und nicht wenige Bekannte haben daran teilgenommen. Man ch bin immer noch sehr beeindruckt von allen, besonders von allen, die es bis zum Ende durchgezogen haben.

Und während die gnaze Welt die Olympischen Spiele zu Hause im Fernsehen sieht, hatte ich das Glück, einige der Wettkämpfe auf einer riesen Leinwand im Mehrzwecksaal von Bois d'Amont zu sehen. Warum so ein Aufhebens? Na, weil dieses kleine Dorf doch tatsächlich 3 Athleten (2 aus der nordischen Kombi und ein Langläufer) an den Start schicken konnten. Und einer brachte uns tatsächlich eine Goldmedaille nach Hause.

Obwohl der Winter hier eigentlich lange anhält, ist es sehr Frühlingshaft. Kaum noch Schnee, sehr warm und viel Regen, nicht gerade optimale Verhältnisse für eine Skiregion.

Meine persönliche Situation sieht gerade nicht allzu prickelnd aus. Ich muss so schnell wie möglich eine neue Bleibe finden ( bevorzugt bis zum 15.März). Wohnungen und Zimemr sind hier sehr sehr teuer besonders, wenn es möbliert sein sollte und das wäre ja für mich durchaus von Vorteil. Dann muss ich außerdem so schnell wie möglich neue Arbeit finden, denn die Saison hier geht mit schnellen Schritten zu Ende. Und mein lieber Bruno (nur zur Erinnerung, das ist mein Auto), braucht eigentlich einen Medizinmann, der mich ein ganz schönes Vermögen kosten wird. Aber mal davon abgesehen, gehts mir recht gut, zumindest habe ich meinen Optimismus noch nicht verloren. Trotzdem ist jede Hilfe willkommen.

Für alle, die sich brennend für mein “Liebes-Leben” interessieren. Haha die Franzosen machen mich einfach wahnsinnig, ganz besonders einer. Manche weniger, manche mehr!
