Auf den Spuren Voltaires

Oktober kommt und meine 2. Woche hier ist vorbei. Dieses Wochenende geht mal ganz entspannt voran, nachdem die 5 Wochentage recht anstrengend waren. Heute war ich im Nachbardorf Ferney-Voltaire, wo letzterer sich ein Schloss gebaut hatte. Bei Sonnenschein und gut 23 Grad bin ich also mit dem viel zu vollen Bus 8Minuten und 3 Bushaltestellen weiter angekommen um dann festzustellen, dass ab 20. September das Besichtigungen nicht mehr möglich sind. Mhm sehr schade. So bin ich also nur einmal drumherum gelaufen und im Dorf spazieren gegangen.

Dafür war ich dann shoppen und habe jetzt außer einem zweiten Handy auch eine französische Nummer! Auch toll, oder?
Ach und das Schönste diese Woche, war als ich zur Schule gefahren bin um die Kids abzuholen und als ich auf der kleinen Bergkuppe angelangt war und mir keine Bäume mehr im Weg standen, konnte ich bei schönstem Wetter den Mont Blanc vor mir sehn, als stünde ich direkt in Chamonix *lol* Einfach nur genial.



October comes and my second week here is already over. This weekend i wanted nothing else but reläxing after these 5 hard days, which had been exhausting. So today I was in the neighbour-village Ferney-Voltaire, where Mr. V. has built a palace ("Chatêau"). With sunshine and at least 23 degree in a definitely overcrowded bus I arrived 8 minutes later the city just to see that since the 20th of september visitings are no longer possible. Mhm damn! So i just made a tour around and walked across the streets. Instead i decided spontaniously to go on a small shopping trip and to buy me a new cell phone with a french number! Also good, isn't it?
And the best of this week happened when i drove to school to pick up the kids. When i finally arrived the top of a little hill and no trees where anymore in my way, I suddenly could see because of this beautiful weather here, the famous Mont Blanc. It was as i stood directely in Chamonix *lol* That is just brilliant, don't you think so?
